Take the warmth of dancing sunbeams, a stream of rippling laughter, the kind heartedness of Polly Anna, mix them together, add sincerity to make it 5'7" and you have Karti. She came to the Institute, looking as lost as a little girl. She left it – a controlled, self confident young woman, with a personality of her own. Humane, very genuine, spontaneous, gentle, sometimes confused, music crazy (which resulted in her becoming DJ Secretary), gregarious and artistic (her posters were beautiful) — Karti was the one we turned to for sympathy and a patient ear and she made us feel good again;
