My professional career has been mainly in the pharmaceutical industry.  I have worked with Alembic (21 years), Nicholas Piramal (about 7 years) and Cadila Healthcare (9 years).  I started my career in brand management, went on to become the marketing head. The last 16 years the assignments were as the head of the business.

At the personal level, I got married to Rita who is a Doctor from Bhopal University in 1979. We have one daughter Rinki who is an IT professional based at Philadelphia, USA.  My son in law Ajay Patel is also an IT professional.  We are blessed with two grand children Vihaan & Nivek.

I was involved with academics in a small way and was on the Board of Studies of NMIMS, Mumbai for their pharma management & technology programmes.

I have retired and based at Baroda.  My wife Dr. Rita continues to run a part time clinic.
