After moving seven times in 14 years (including four years in Paris and London), Prakash and Jigisha have settled down in NJ since 1993. “Live, Love, Laugh” has always been their philosophy of life, even when Prakash was working in the world of Finance as the CFO of a number of private and public companies, and conducting public offerings and carrying out buy-side and sell-side M&A deals.

 

I moved to the US right after graduating from IIMA in 1976. After spending a couple of years with KPMG and getting the CPA certification, I moved to Booz Allen where I spent the next ten years in a variety of positions including four years based in Paris and London as the Controller of European Operations.

 

From 1989 to 2015, I worked as the VP-Finance/Systems, and CFO of several companies including Telcordia, theStreet.com and Covisint, and also worked with Private Equity firms helping them with due diligence of new investments and oversight of portfolio companies, primarily focusing on software and services businesses.

 

After our daughter’s wedding in 2015, I decided that it was finally time to leave the world of finance. I am now pursuing my real passion in spiritual growth (while avoiding waistline growth!), and music (old Bollywood songs).

 

Jigisha and I got married in 1980 and have two children. Jigisha has devoted the last 15+ years on helping people without health insurance coverage in the local Indian community in NJ to get free screening services.

 

Jigisha is a member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Health Camp of NJ as well as a Multicultural Advisory Council Member for Komen National. Our daughter Priya is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Sanskrit and Religious Studies. Our son-in-law Shamik works in Private Equity. Priya and Shamik live in San Francisco.

 

Our son Rajan is working in Healthcare Investment Banking in NYC.
