Joined institute on leave as due for studies from IOFS (Indian Ordnance Factories Services). This was after one and half year of teaching and three and half years of services in IOFS. During leave got promotion and joined back IOFS in Kolkata. Till August 78 I was trying to contribute in reorganisations of ordnance factories, inventory control, materials planning, MIS, computerisation of various function, cadre planning etc. and some special assignments. 

 

August 78, I joined on deputation, a state public sector company in Lucknow. It was consulting organisation dealing with rural development, computerisation in government department and application of management technique in government and public undertakings in UP. The assignments of were very interesting and of varied nature. Had worked on projects from world bank, UNICEF and projects on rural development, industrial development, social development. 

 

April 83 joined Triveni Engineering in President`s office dealing with financial controls, financial management, system, diversification and foreign collaboration. Developed couple of Joint Ventures in oil and gas sector. 

 

August 85 I joined as first Managing Director of HARDICON a technical, consultancy Organisation (TCO) owned by financial institutions (IDBI, ICICI, IFCI). The organisation was assisting SME sector in all aspects of business. In addition to this the activities of developing entrepreneurs were also being carried out. 

 

Next five years I had worked as Director Finance in two public sectors. The UPTRON INDIA was state corporation and Cement Corporation of India was central undertaking. 

 

Decided to come out of public sector, and worked one year in Mumbai and 1996 joined as finance head of Deepak Fertilisers at Pune and worked till March 2010, till retirement. 

 

In 2011 I has gone to Nigeria to work as CFO in a large group for two years. Was CFO of the cement business.
