1.Got married to Lalitha on 19th Aug.1979; She was the Principal DAV School Gopalapuram from 1995 till 2011; at present Lalitha is the Principal of Ramana Vidyalaya.

 

2. Daughter - Dhivya - born in Oct 1980 at Nairobi, Kenya. She is married and lives in Philadelphia, US; husband Dr. Vinod with Temple Univ; two sons Vrishab-7 and Vihaan-4; Dhivya teaches part-time at Temple Univ.

 

3.Son – Gokul - born in 1982 at Kano, Nigeria. He is married to Deepika and runs my glass business. Deepika is a pharmacist.

 

4.Work - 1976 to 79 TI, Chennai; then 2 years at Comcraft- Nairobi 1979-81.

 

5.Worked in Kano, Nigeria 1981-84. Returned to Chennai Dec. 1984.

 

6.3 years with a small firm called Press Metal Copr. Ltd, Chennai and then Shriram, Chennai group for 3 years

 

7. Was with a few friends as a working partner in a trading firm from 1991 to 98;

 

8. In 1998 started Shringaar Glass- glass processing unit- also Distributors for Saint Gobain. My son Gokul runs it now; about 15 workers.

 

9. Started a free tuition center in 1998 for children from economically disadvantaged background; Converted the tuition center to a regular CBSE school in 2005 - Ramana Vidyalaya -

 

We have about 1200 students and 100 staff. The school is run by a charitable trust called N.S. Educational Trust (exempt Under IT Sec 80G). Under this Trust I am running two programs -

 

i) Educate 1 – to assist children from under privileged families;

 

ii) Developing a Under 16 football team - part of I - Football League (Hero motor) – with students from interior Tamilnadu who are given free education and boarding in Ramana Vidyalaya. Football coaching is done by a football professional.

 

10. At present spend most of the time for the development of the School and to dabble in stock market.
