Since graduating from IIMA in 1976 joined the public sector IPCL and had a long 19 years stint with IPCL in the marketing department. In 1995 I left IPCL as Sr Manager and joined Bayer ABS Ltd to head their marketing division for South Asia based at Baroda. 

 

Another 19 years with this company (management changed to British group INEOS and then to BASF-styrolution) with stints at Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong and mostly at Baroda; I superannuated, as Sr. Executive VP, in 2014. 

 

I am presently engaged in small consultancy work and teaching as a visiting faculty in the management department (evening 3 year MBA) of MSU. 

 

My wife Usha, who I married in 1984, has been teaching for the past 25 years and teaches English and Social Science at a school run by the trust of Amins. 

 

Usha and I have one son, Venkat (born in 1992) who, after graduating in B Tech (EEE) from VIT, Vellore in 2014, is working with data management company Musigma, Bangalore as Sr. Business Analyst. 

 

I am presently located at Baroda.
