A thought that crosses my mind as I write this 42 years after receiving the diploma scroll in Louis Kahn Plaza is the thoughts that would have passed my mind on that fateful day surrounded as we were by our batch mates and my family.
Wonder what were the dreams that we had and did I in these years meet those dreams that my parents had for me putting me thru the most coveted Business School.
I think we surpassed those dreams because those dreams though created thru the case studies that we read were humble. Of course how many of those case studies I read is a closely guarded secret.
Started my career with NELCO but was in the first year given the feedback by my colleagues that I would make a better Sales Person than an Accountant . If that meant I was a bad accountant will never be known.
I took the Opportunity and switched careers to Sales and Marketing and went thru STP selling Tar and managing a vast network of offices in MRF to settle into my longest tenure at HCL and if I believe the customers that we serviced got success in being part of the Digital Revolution. After a short span of leading a Global Database company I settled into a Entrepreneurship mode and have been there since ’98.
Have lived in different cities in India and have travelled far and wide though there is a Bucket List which is there somewhere deep down to meet
Got married at a young age in 1978 and now have two children and three grandchildren and still lead an active entrepreneurial and busy life ably supported by my wife who has been there thru the highs and lows of these 40 years.
