JS Saharia, fondly known as Jaggu amongst his friends, has done wonderfully well after graduating from IIMA. He started with a job at Calcutta after his MBA at HTA & DCM data products. Having done his MBA from IIMA, JSS pursued the dream of becoming an IAS officer, and in 2014 became the coveted Chief Secretary of Maharashtra state. 

 

During his journey as a civil servant, he served important assignments like Collector (Parbhani), MD (Mahafed), Associate Dean (JJ Hospital), Divisional Commissioner (Nagpur), Vice Chancellor (Nagpur University), worked at Ministry of Home Affairs, Principal Secretary (Agriculture, Education, HTE, R&R) etc. As a professional, he is always sharp, willing to learn, takes bold decisions and has willingly taken up tough assignments and proven his mettle. Currently, he is on a special 5-year term as the State Election Commissioner of Maharashtra. 

 

Jageshwar has always been the one who takes initiatives in holding friendly get-togethers, making people feel at home, taking care of elders and having a light-hearted time with youngsters. 

 

But the one thing that sets him apart is that despite his rigorous schedule, he has given his family & friends the highest priority. From taking care of his parents to spending time with Sunita to ensuring that his children keep learning new things, JSS has always loved to spend quality time with his near and dear ones. JSS showers a lot of love, shows lots of care and brings the colours of joy to life itself. 

 

JSS & Sunita have 2 children, Abhilasha & Divij. Abhilasha, a dentist by profession, is married to Anagh Lal, who is working at JP Morgan. Anagh & Abhilasha have a son, Atharv. Divij has his own online management startup & his wife Srajita is working at Morgan Stanley as a legal advisor.
