The journey from 1976 to 2016 has been varied and interesting – professionally and personally.

Having spent the early years in India (in Finance and Banking) when the opportunity to leave and test oneself in the USA came our way we just took it. There were a lot of risks as we were a young family (with, of course, attendant responsibilities) but the call for Nam and I to go to the developed West was strong – so we listened and took our chances.

The early years post-India were in New York - commuting, young family, tough choices and then slowly as the professional opportunities widened we moved to London and spent most of one’s professional career there. The children grew up in that wonderful multicultural city and we built a strong identity and have many friends from our time there.

Once the children shifted their centers of gravity back to the USA we did the same – New York City is our home now and we also spend time in Bangalore and Florida (when one wishes to avoid the tough New York winters). Our home in Bangalore is what we use when we are in India and this has helped keep one leg firmly embedded in our country or origin.

While we always deeply cherish one’s (almost inevitably the “not enough”) time with our children and their families - at another level golf, wildlife photography, traveling, reading, art movies, theatre, the right wines, the right food and a spirited conversation with close friends are what frames one’s sensory resume.
