I joined Indian Airlines, along with Mintoo Sen. Rose up to being the Executive Director in IA and then onto Exec Director of Air India consequent to the merger of Indian Airlines & Air India.

 

Subsequent to retirement, I am involved in my life’s longing passion of social service. Presently I am associated with a rural based non profit/ non government organisation. 

 

My focus area has been to train and empower facilitators who are working with and catering to the less privileged sections of society. 

 

I am based in Chennai, but routinely spend as much time in Kerala and in a village nearer to Dindigul in Tamilnadu. Life even after retirement, continues to be fully engaging, but with much contentment.

 

I am married to Achamma, a homemaker with a passion for and excellence in multi cuisine and home interiors. I have a son and daughter. 

 

My son, after graduating from Georgia Tech, Atlanta works as a consultant in the US. 

 

My daughter, who graduated from IIMB this year has taken up employment in Kuwait. 

 

The profoundly vying question of which IIM is now better - A or B, occasionally crops up in our domestic space. Fortunately with a gracious yet unconceding IIMA father and an equally unconceding yet respectful IIMB daughter, the harmony prevails amidst the jestful dialogues.
