I was one of the very few guys who came on a 2 year study leave, from GKW Bangalore, to complete my MBA. I went back to GKW and worked with them for nearly 3 years — 1976 to 1979. After a short stint in Delhi (Eicher Tractors and Harparshad & Co) for 3 years, I came back to Bangalore in 1982 and have settled down here since then.

I started my own Software development unit in October 1984 and successfully developed and installed many small business packages (accounting, inventory, payroll etc) for a variety of industries in and around Bangalore. From 1998 until 2008 I specialised in development and implementation of mini ERP packages for medium scale industries.

In 1992, in addition to my own software development unit, I began associating with Thinksoft Global Services as an SME in the area of banking software testing. Till date, 24 years, I have been handling major software rollout testing projects for many major banks — local and international. This has taken me to many cities across the globe — except Africa and South America —and given me great satisfaction and fulfilment.

Janaki and I got married in 1977 and in addition to managing the household, she supports me as a confidant and critic in running my business.

We have one daughter Lakshmi, born in 1981. She finished her PhD in Chemistry from Stony Brook University, NYC in 2013 and is currently working in a start up in Manhattan.
