BM Sharma (1951-2013) left this earth at a young age of 62 after a prolonged battle with heart issues.

He was a senior executive with Birla Copper. He is survived by his wife son (Manik) and daughter (Meena). The family is said to have moved to Hong Kong.

BM was very popular on the campus, well known for his acknowledged prowess in table tennis. He was unbeatable.

Although not many were in touch with him, his departure from this world still makes us so Sad. He adapted himself to all situations but had his objective function clear.

Kishore Taishete recalls... Both of us spent considerable amount of time together as being on the same TT team. He was truly a humble person and it was my privilege to have known him for a long time.

GP Misra adds...one of the best defensive TT players I have seen... And a sweet soul too. Avid Bridge player along with Abhaya and Adish

We miss BM, specially his dorm mates in D17.
